Since 1981, ICS has maintained high academic standards combined with Biblical principles and values taught in a more individualized learning environment.
Immanuel Christian School is part of the ministry of Immanuel Baptist Church in Morgan City, LA founded in 1981. It was born of the dream of Pastor Joe Kite and other church members who believed developing Christian leaders for the future of our nation was a worthwhile endeavor. From its origin, the goal has been to provide a "quality education in a Christian context."
Academically, Immanuel Christian School offers curriculum from Bob Jones University Press and ABeka books. Along with the curriculum, ICS offers enrichment opportunities which are art, music, P.E., and computer literacy from grade K-2 through 6th.
Immanuel Christian School provides a Christ-centered, Bible-based environment of academic excellence, where faculty and staff work in partnership with parents to develop young men and women who will know and serve the Lord Jesus Christ with all their heart, mind, soul, and strength.
Immanuel Christian, as an educational institution, believes bring up a child in Christ-likeness is primarily the responsibility and Biblical duty of the parent. Our school exists, therefore, to assist in that education, but will never replace the family’s role. We work in partnership with the family as we world through out shared commitment to the student’s upbringing. The commitment is expressed in mutual desire to see student’s characters transformed to reflect the image of Christ, impacting the world in their calling, family, and community.
While exploring the science, mathematics, language arts, humanities, technology, music, and extracurricular activities, we seek to nurture student maturity in leadership, self-discipline, and personal and social development. This process can truly happen only through application of Scripture, place God, not man, at the center of all learning.
